HOW I WORK
Â
Most certifications teach you what to teach.
Very few teach you how to think as a Pilates teacher.
That gap is where my work lives.
I work with certified Pilates teachers who want more than choreography or checklists. Teachers who want to understand why an exercise exists, what it’s asking for, and how to adapt it without losing the integrity of The Method.
My approach is rooted in Classical Pilates — not as something rigid or old-fashioned, but as a clear, intelligent system designed to serve real bodies. Bodies with injuries. Bodies with limitations. Bodies that don’t fit neatly into a textbook.
Â
I teach teachers how to:
- see what’s actually happening in front of them
- understand why something isn’t working
- and choose the most effective cue — not the loudest or most complicatedne
Â
It’s about clarity.
When you understand the system, teaching becomes simpler.
When teaching becomes simpler, confidence grows.
And when confidence grows, clients feel safer, stronger, and more connected to their bodies.
LINEAGE & EXPERIENCE
I was certified through Romana’s Pilates International in 2005, one of the most respected Classical Pilates training programs in the world.
I continue to study with my elders whenever possible and consider myself a lifelong student of the work. I have studied extensively with Michael Levy, Trish Garland, Cynthia Shipley, Anthony Rabara and Cynthia Lochard. I was also fortunate to learn directly from Romana Kryzanowska herself and her daughter, Sari.
I lead workshops for teachers and Pilates enthusiasts around the world. When the world shut down in 2020, I created what was originally called Carrie's Mentorship — a program designed specifically to support teachers after certification.
That work has grown into a global community and now lives inside The Classical Pilates Lab — an ongoing conversation for teachers who see Pilates as a commitment to Lifelong Learning.
Because great teaching doesn’t come from memorizing.
It comes from understanding.
And yes — all roads lead to the powerhouse.

Working hard and having fun are not mutually exclusive.
I promise both will happen every session.
